Children, Race and racism: How race awareness develops



This article looks at how children learn about their own racial identity and how and what they learn about others. The article notes, inaccurate, stereotypic and caricatured images and information about racial/cultural groups are particularly harmful, at the stage of development when children are still forming clear concepts of themselves and others.
